Ok, so I have been an absolute lurker. Heh. But I totally love the tutorials here! and now I find myself in need of help. I have this pic. It's really dark. And I am trying screen and it's just not cutting it cause if I screen it too much it gets all blocky.

So there I was logging on to my livejournal to check out my friends page seeing whats going on with everyone, when there it was! Glaring at me with its yellow ugly scanniness(only a word for this blogs purposes). A...Dum Dum Duuummmm SPOILER FOR THE BOOK!!! ACK! Why Why me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Someone was very ignorant and posted a scan a couple pages of the book, which was kinda easy to skip over cause it was a smaller scan and all that. But then in BIG BOLD BLACK print was something unavoidable. No do not worry I will not post what it was, I shall carry this burden on my own. But spoilers are the worst thing, let me tell you. It was rather very ignorant. It's like and unwritten rule to put some sort of warning, you know what I mean?

Ok so this is the first tutorial I ever made so hope it is suffcient. ^_^.
Ok first you need to size and crop the picture you want to use, to your liking. I used
a nice picture of Emma Watson
Also you may want to lighten it or screen it, if it is a darker picture.
Now make a new layer. On the outer edges take a cloudy or grungy brush(I used THIS one) but you can use what ever you wish. Be sure to cover most if not all of the edges. I used the color black, but I should think any color would work. I also used a smaller cloudy brush to put near the face, to give the impression the whole picture has a shimmer not just the edges.
Repeat that step three time(you can do more, it'll just give more variation to it) but make sure not to just copy the layer because you want to have difference in all three times. Make sure where you put the brush around the edges and in the middle changes a little bit with each new layer. Set all the cloudy layers to soft light.
Now down on the end of the tool bar there is the icon to switch your image over to imageready click on it.
Once you have imageready up, goto the window option on the top bar, and chose animation.
Now turn off all the layers except for the base, and add as many frames as you have cloudy layers(including the first one so if you have three cloudy layers then you need two more, and so forth)
Now I have four frames because I have four cloudy layers. Now click on frame one.And make the first cloudy layer visible. Click on the second frame, and if the first cloudy layer is still visible then click it off, and make the second one visible. Follow that pattern until you have matched all the frames with there own cloudy layer. Then where you see the 0 sec, click on that and change it to .1 seconds on all the frames and then press the play button to see what it looks like. You can tweak and add what ever you please, then when you are ready to save it as an animation goto file> Save optimized as, which will keep it animated. Then thats it your done! Let me know if this was anyhelp.
Just so you know, I chose to edit my base a little more to my liking before saving it, here is my finished product:

I am so sick of people at Walmart! There is this lady I work with, Bessy, she used to be an asst. manager, but she isn't anymore. She is part of the ICS(Inventory Control Servaces) team, but she still acts like a manager. She quit along time ago, and is now starting out new, but the stupid bitch still acts like a manager. The (is thinking alot of decidingly not nice words to discribe her) woman takes all the credit for me and my friend, Kathy. We work our butts off(literally we've both lost alot of weight from working so hard) and we don't do it for some newbie(I say newbie cause she never worked ICS) to take all of our credit. She bosses us around, even though we have seniority ( i don't care how many years she worked before she quit, she's only been in ICS for less then a month, and I, A year and Kathy, three months) walmart sucks. Please head my words when I say all those 'nice benefits' aren't worth shit.Really they aren't. *sigh* I really need to learn to stick up for myself so she won't/can't take credit for my and Kathy's work cause we/I will claim it. I believe credit is do where credit is worked hard for. Seriously!

She would show them. She would show them all. To believe what they did. To no understand. To not even give her a chance. It was inexcusable. A dementor slowly passed by her cell, her anger quickly diminishing into misery. Memories of the horrid event that was the cause to her being here flooded her mind. It was her worse memory after all. She didn't have many bad memories. Having grown up in a good home with loving parents, and went to a good school, got good grades, had a few great life adventures, and always came out on top. No, there wasn't much for the dementors to feed off of. So her thoughts turned to that night.
Hermione Granger had been in contact with Severus for ever since the day she took her N.E.W.Ts a year early. He had shown up at her flat, and scared the wits out of her, that was two years ago. He had shown her how he was still loyal to the order, and how it was Dumbledore's own request that had truly killed him, not Severus' want to. Since then, he had passed information too her and then from her to the Order Of the Phoenix. Severus had come to her flat, once again to give her some information, and they had been caught, by Mad-Eye Moody. Who quickly had the whole O.O.t.P believing in her betrayal, including her supposed best friend. The memory of Ron spitting in her face and Harry looking at her with Hate-filled eyes was the one the Dementors always dug up. While she was in free-mind, she began to plot and plan how to get her and Severus out. She knew the Dark Lord was planning an escape for his Deatheaters, it was then she planned on escaping.
It was six months until her carefully concocted plan would be of any use. She heard an uttered 'Lumus' and she knew. It was time. She was very lucky her cell was next to Lucius Malfoy's or her plan might have failed. She was also lucky that it was a voice that sounded much like a Crabbe or Goyle.
"Sir," she called out weakly, her voice wasn't used to speaking anymore. The bulky man stopped and turned to her.
"Take me with you," she requested, at his look of confusion she continued, " I am Hermione Granger, a ex-part of the Golden Trio, and I could be of great use to your master" the easily-convinced man smiled at the though of pleasing Voldemort and after freeing the whithering Lucius, he opened her cell, and then moved to Severus' cell. The two men where in a lot worse condition than the young woman was, so she helped Severus walk, as Crabbe or Goyle, she still didn't know which, help Lucius. They reached the second cell door, and she saw Nott guarding the door, she was happy to see he didn't comment on her, yet. It was relatively anti-climatic leaving the prison, which was each prisoner's own personal hell, and soon she found herself under the scrutiny, of the Darkest lord in history.
"I am told you will be of use to me, Prove it" he said simply.
She looked at Severus, who weakly rose and eyebrow at her, wondering where she was getting at.
"Sir," she used sir, because she didn't know what she would be expected to call him, "as you know, Severus and I where found conversing by an Auror, for a month before, Severus has been trying to convince me to your side. I was beginning to see the pros," it was slightly true, as it was because of the Order her parents had disappeared, her not knowing whether they lived or died, she very rarely got news in Azakaban, but when she finally heard word, that the Order had convinced her parents of her supposed treachery and soon after they had disappeared, she was devastated. "when we were caught, careless on my part for not setting wards to my home, but now, I come to you bowed on my knees, filled with not only potential and intelligence, but information" she looked the Lord directly in his eyes, daring him to probe, she was fully occluded, and knew that the best lies, only held a small part of lie, it was easy to project loyalty and truthfulness. It was a tricky game when one planned to commit an espionage of sorts.

So I've been sick lately. Hospital and all. Don't know what my problem was, because when they were telling me and Matthew I passed out so he knows and I don't. I am going to keep it that way. As I hate knowing what I have, cause then I get paranoid over having it again! So I am trusting my health to my feance'. I need to send out all my swaps. Because Alot of them are late because of said illness. Ick. Hate being sick. And before that! I was fricking assualted at work! A man stuck his Freking hands down the back of my pants while I was bent over getting something!!! So I was forced into a week's leave for that while they 'dealt' with it. So this next paycheck will be my first full one since my raise! thus being the first time I shall see what my new paycheck rate will be from now on! Gods I need to pick up some overtime!

So this fanfic has held my attention for two days, going on three in a few hours. And I saw fit to rec it, for anyone who reads thing ^_^;;
It is a Severus/Hermione fanfic....I think. I havent actually gotten to any fluff in that department, but it is very well written, it can be found on my newly favorite place to read Harry Potter Fanfics at, OWL. This fanfic is called the summoning. Written by Bambu.
Disturbed by Harry's increasing despondence, Hermione will do anything to help him. She performs a ritual in order to save a lost soul, and ends up with an unexpected ally.

Just to let you all know I didn't come by these tests on my own they were found while I was reading ordinary_magic posts because they amuse me.
Anyway. I've decided to join a backyard wrestling foundation, known as the FWF which is most likely very stupid of me. I won't be wrestling in many shows though, mostly training. I did it because not only does my Fiance' do it, but it is a great way to get in shape! Anyway here is the jist of my character so far. I think it's a little over the top, but the guys like it, and I like it when I wrote in in a story so hey, why not.

She has my background, (meaning torture through un-named family members, Raped at sixteen, molested at 2, has a best friend who's mother is out to kill you because she is pyschophrenic, and thinks you are part of the KKK, and all sorts of fucked up shit) which makes her border-line insane(which is why matt wants her to be his,,,leash holder) She will also mingle from all the background of which she has held in stories I've wrote about her, Her father in the Akuza, but killed for betraying them, Her mother given up to whoredum of the Akuza by her father, she's part japanese part american, barely has a leash on her feiry angery. She is what I call myself when I need hate. She is hate. She is my hate
